Brutus, a Labrador retriever

Last night I recorded Saturday Night Live (SNL) and watched it today. As it turns out, it was a rerun, not from last year, nay, but from two weeks ago. It was a bummer in a way, but there were a couple of skits that I wanted to see again, and I did, it was just sooner than I though it would be.

It was an exciting day of television, which included several football games, and two golf tournaments. Last night the Mets lost another game to the Cardinals, and Detroit swept the A’s under the rug and out of the playoffs.

I did not go to church so the day was pretty unusual.

A rare early October snowstorm left parts of the Great Lakes and Midwest blanketed with 2 feet (60 centimeters) of snow Friday morning, prompting widespread blackouts, closing schools and halting traffic.
