President of the United States

I have decided to run for president. That is right, president of the United States. You might ask why, and the answer is, Everyone else is doing it. The list of declared candidates includes,

Sam Brownback Senator for Kansas (I think)
Hillary Clinton Don't forget the Rodham
John Cox Who is this
Christopher Dodd I think he is a senator
John Edwards He has done this before
Mike Gravel hmmmmm
Dennis Kucinich double hmmmm
Tom Vilsack Is he a famous althete?
Barack Obama I have heard of him, Mr. Junior Senator
Bill Richardson The only reason I know about this guy is he is the Governor in the state next door.
Mitt Romney Is that like an oven mit?

There is a host of people thinking about running, including
Joe Biden
Rudy Giuliani
Duncan Hunter
John McCain
Ron Paul
Tommy Thompson
Tom Tancredo

As you can see, it is shaping up to be an interesting two years in politics, that is right, there is almost two full years until the presidential election. The media sharks, must be drooling over the prospects of a nasty political campaign, along with Saturday Night Live, Jay Leno, David Letterman, and all the other satirist in America.

President Bush gave his state of the union address this evening, and I am certain that thousands of reports have spent countless hours preparing for the evening and all the questioning to put out to the viewers. Meanwhile, in small town middle America, we went to a basketball game to watch Amy's cousin play the might bulldogs.

The game was good, the Wildcats, gave the Bulldogs a whipping. They came out and had a full court press defensive for the entire game, I bet they are tired now. I did get to see Sid, Selina, Ryan and Layne at the game, Layne played and nailed several 3 point shots.
